Center for Addiction Treatment (CAT)
Project: Providing new primary care options and a resident training model for treating patients with addictions
Grantee: Center for Addiction Treatment
Investment: $100,000
Year: 2017 (planning grant awarded in 2016)
A $100,000 bi3 grant provides seed money for the start-up of a primary care clinic and medical resident training program specifically designed to treat patients suffering from addiction at the Center for Addiction Treatment (CAT). The clinic also serves as a training site for TriHealth residents and others in Family Practice and Internal Medicine, so residents can learn evidence-based practices for treating addiction as a disease.
In 2016, a planning grant from bi3 provided the financial resources needed to create a solid plan for starting the primary care clinic and medical resident training program.
