Zohar Perla is the bi3 Director of Evaluation and Learning. She supports evaluative practice within bi3 and with grantees to drive equitable outcomes by capturing and sharing successes and lessons learned while assessing the effectiveness and impact of grantmaking activities. Zohar also assists grantees in measuring and communicating their impact and helps capture bi3’s learnings to inform our strategy.
Passionate about connecting people and data to create better community outcomes, Zohar brings a wealth of philanthropic, evaluation and research experience to the bi3 team. Most recently, she served as Senior Program Officer of Community Learning and Impact at the Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF), where she supported grantees, managed data and evaluation, and ran the Foundation’s education grantmaking. During the pandemic, Zohar co-led the GCF Connect Our Students Initiative, which provided thousands of local students with internet access. Before moving to Cincinnati, she worked as a consultant supporting nonprofit and philanthropic data, strategy, and evaluation efforts nationwide. Zohar has also served in data analyst roles in both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Zohar holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s in Economics and Psychology from Amherst College.
