Candace Novak Sabers is the Vice President of Healthcare Policy and Advocacy for bi3. In her role, she leads the development and implementation of bi3’s health policy agenda, which is focused on improving health outcomes in the Greater Cincinnati community.
Candace focuses on building strategic partnerships and expanding the impact of bi3’s direct investments in policy and advocacy efforts. She also works within the team and with grantees to identify system barriers that must be addressed to achieve long-term change and educate policymakers and other key stakeholders about relevant policy and legislation, all of which will lead to better health.
Previously, Candace served as Vice President of Government and Community Relations at UC Health, where she was responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s strategic approach to government relations and community outreach.
With more than two decades of dedicated service to the children and families of Ohio, Candace is a seasoned leader with a proven history of advancing critical initiatives that drive positive changes in the lives of vulnerable populations. Throughout her career, she has leveraged her deep expertise in public service, healthcare and community outreach to create lasting impacts in public and private healthcare sectors.
Candace holds a BA in Social Work from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN, and a MSSA from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University. Candace is a graduate of 2010 Leadership Columbus and was a Cincinnati Business Courier 40 Under 40 recipient in 2013. She currently serves on number of healthcare industry committees at the federal, state, and local levels, the Talbert House Board of Trustees and the Saint Mary’s College Board of Trustees.
