Ohio continues to rank in the bottom ten states nationally for infant mortality. While policy changes are necessary to address this persistent crisis, it is not sufficient to save the lives of Ohio’s vulnerable infants.
In this webinar, Groundwork Ohio’s Shannon Jones and PrimaryOne Health’s Charleta Tavares reflect on their work together, including their statewide listening tour and the creation of the Ohio Commission on Infant Mortality and SB 332.
The webinar also highlights how Hamilton County is making significant improvement—having recently seen a new low in infant mortality numbers—with insights from Cradle Cincinnati’s Dr. Meredith Smith and bi3’s Jill Miller about the successful strategies spearheaded by Cradle Cincinnati and other community leaders.
