The bi3 Fund announced today that Candace Novak Sabers will join the team as the Vice President of Healthcare Policy and Advocacy. In this newly created position, Candace will lead the development and implementation of bi3’s health policy agenda, which is focused on improving health outcomes in the Greater Cincinnati community.
Candace most recently served as Vice President of Government and Community Relations at UC Health, where she was responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s strategic approach to government relations and community outreach.
In her new role at bi3, Candace will work to build strategic partnerships and expand the impact of bi3’s direct investments in policy and advocacy efforts. She will also work with the team and grantees to identify system barriers that must be addressed to achieve long-term change and educate policymakers and other key stakeholders about relevant policy and legislation, all of which will lead to better health.
“We cannot program our way out of big health challenges. We must dedicate resources to policy advocacy to achieve long-term systems change. Adding Candace to our team is a game changer,” Jill Miller, President & CEO of bi3, said.
With more than two decades of dedicated service to the children and families of Ohio, Candace is a seasoned leader with a proven history of advancing critical initiatives that drive positive changes in the lives of vulnerable populations. Throughout her career, she has leveraged her deep expertise in public service, healthcare and community outreach to create lasting impacts in public and private healthcare sectors.
