ABOUT WORLD TEEN MENTAL WELLNESS DAY:
World Teen Mental Wellness Day is observed annually to raise awareness for the mental health issues teenagers face, promote mental wellness and determine solutions.
INSPIRE SOLUTIONS:
Develop a plan for your school:
- Reduce the stigma surrounding mental health challenges and accessing care
- Increase awareness about the mental health resources available to students within your school and communities
- Encourage students to participate in wellness activities
This is the third year local students have had the opportunity to receive funding to support activities. In the inaugural year, funding supported 11 high schools to create wellness rooms, host speakers, promote awareness of resources and the national 988 number and dedicate days to journaling and reflecting. Last year, more than 50 schools participated!
