bi3, Hopeful Empowered Youth (HEY!), Interact for Heath and The Joe Burrow Foundation invite Greater Cincinnati students in grades 7-12 to develop and participate in activities commemorating World Teen Mental Wellness Day. This year, students will be awarded up to $1,000 per school to plan, create and lead activities that engage their fellow students. While the Global Day will be held on Sunday, March 2, students will be encouraged to plan activities on Monday, March 3, while schools are in session.

ABOUT WORLD TEEN MENTAL WELLNESS DAY:
World Teen Mental Wellness Day is observed annually to raise awareness for the mental health issues teenagers face, promote mental wellness and determine solutions.
INSPIRE SOLUTIONS:
Develop a plan for your school:
- Reduce the stigma surrounding mental health challenges and accessing care
- Increase awareness about the mental health resources available to students within your school and communities
- Encourage students to participate in wellness activities
This is the third year local students have had the opportunity to receive funding to support activities. In the inaugural year, funding supported 11 high schools to create wellness rooms, host speakers, promote awareness of resources and the national 988 number and dedicate days to journaling and reflecting. Last year, more than 50 schools participated!

APPLICATION DETAILS:
Who’s eligible?:
- Grades 7-12
- Schools in the following counties
- Ohio: Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland or Warren County
- Kentucky: Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton or Pendleton County
- Indiana: Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley or Switzerland County
Students only need to fill out an application describing plans for the funding and commit to sharing pictures of activities with us via email and social media within a week of World Teen Mental Wellness Day. Send the completed application and a copy of the school’s W-9 to communications@bi3.org.
Blank W-9 forms can be found on the IRS website.
Note: Each Greater Cincinnati school can submit one application, which must be signed by the principal. The final deadline for applications is January 24, 2025.
