Jill Miller gave up desk job for nonprofit making ‘real difference’ in peoples’ lives

Hundreds of babies and young people battling mental health challenges have reason to be thankful that Jill Miller didn’t stick with a career in corporate America.
“I started off in the corporate world and just felt really unfulfilled,” said Miller, who began her career in finance at several Cincinnati-area companies. “I ended up in front of a computer every day, and that’s just not what drives me. One thing I’ve learned about myself is that I’m a builder. I want to grow something, fix something.”
That’s exactly what she’s done as president and CEO of Bethesda Inc., the nonprofit co-sponsor of TriHealth and founder of the bi3 fund.
bi3 Fund Board Secretary Carolyn Micheli and bi3 grantee partner YWCA’s Rickell Howard Smith are also among this year’s honorees.
