This week, Local 12’s Liz Bonis visited Cincinnati’s Saint Ursula Academy to talk with students about their plans to participate in World Teen Mental Wellness Day.
World Teen Mental Wellness Day is observed across the globe annually on March 2 to raise awareness for the mental health issues that teenagers face every day. As part of a call to Hamilton County high school students to participate in the day, bi3 and the Hamilton County Commission on Women & Girls are providing students up to $500 per high school to plan, create and lead World Teen Mental Wellness Day activities that engage fellow students.
The final deadline for funding applications is February 17, 2023.
Saint Ursula Academy—one of the first seven schools to be awarded funding—plans to use the funds to display positive mental health awareness posters in the school halls and classrooms, as well as host a featured guest speaker.
