Past Bethesda, Inc. Board Chair Jim Pearce, bi3 President Jill Miller, bi3 Director of Grants and Evaluation Jennifer Zimmerman, and Ignite Philanthropy’s Susan Ingmire celebrate after receiving AFP’s first ever
Innovator of the Year Award.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Cincinnati Chapter (AFP) recognized the achievements and contributions of bi3, through its first-ever Innovator of the Year Award.
In the last eight years, bi3 has invested more than $36 million through more than 40 grants aimed at transforming health and healthcare in Greater Cincinnati, ranking it one of Ohio’s largest health-focused funders. Nominated by Ignite Philanthropy, bi3 challenges the status quo by funding new health approaches like StartStrong, a program to reduce infant mortality and improve maternal and infant health.
AFP presented bi3 President Jill Miller with the award during the organizations’ annual National Philanthropy Day Luncheon, November 8.
