Jill Miller, President & CEO of bi3, joined Local 12’s Liz Bonis and Dr. Dallas Auvil, Chief of Behavioral Health Services at TriHealth, to discuss how TriHealth is expanding mental health care to all adult and pediatric offices.
Fueled by a $9 million bi3 grant, the three-year initiative will expand TriHealth’s cutting-edge integrated behavioral health consultant model of care, making it among the first health systems in the nation to provide pediatric and adult patients with this comprehensive approach.
The groundbreaking approach builds on an existing bi3-funded TriHealth program, which developed and piloted the integrated health consultant model. Health Affairs, a national journal of health policy thought and research, featured the pioneering comprehensive care model.
“For far too long, we have separated the mind and the body, and it’s so important that, in order to achieve, for everyone to have a fair and just opportunity to be as healthy as possible, we need to treat their body and their mind and their whole person,” Miller, President and CEO of bi3, said in the interview on Local 12.
