Additions will bolster trust-based community partnerships, evaluation and learning
bi3, a funding initiative to transform health for all people, announced the addition of two new team members. Jena’ Bradley joins as Director of Community Partnerships, and Zohar Perla as the Director of Evaluation and Learning.
Since 2010, bi3 has awarded more than $95 million in grants to TriHealth and community-based organizations to fund innovative ideas to transform health and healthcare.

As Director of Community Partnerships, Jena’ Bradley will lead day-to-day operations of grantmaking, including building trust-based partnerships with grantees and identifying strategic investment opportunities aligned with bi3’s funding priorities. Bradley will play a key role in strengthening bi3’s ability to listen to and engage with our community to co-design new solutions to address deep-seated community health issues.
Bradley’s expertise lies at the intersection of racial equity, philanthropy, storytelling, and power redistribution. She brings with her a wealth of experience and a passion for community engagement, having cultivated relationships with over 500 grassroots nonprofits in the region. Before joining bi3, she served as Director of Community Impact at United Way of Greater Cincinnati, where she played a pivotal role in developing the Black-Led Social Change Initiative.
As the Director of Evaluation and Learning, Zohar Perla will support evaluative practices within bi3 and with its grantees. Her focus will be on driving equitable outcomes by capturing and sharing successes and learnings and assessing the effectiveness and impact of grantmaking activities. Perla will strengthen bi3’s capacity to support grantees in measuring and communicating their impact and to capture bi3’s learning to inform our strategy.
Perla brings a depth of philanthropic, evaluation, and research experience to bi3. Her dedication to connecting people and data for the betterment of the community is evident in her track record. Most recently, she served as Senior Program Officer, Community Learning and Impact at Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
